Case Study: Schaeffler achieves more efficient transport order management with SupplyOn TOMS

Schaeffler wins 2016 elogistics award for innovative transport order management provided by SupplyOn

Schaeffler Group, through Schaeffler UK Ltd., needed a better way to manage transport orders across its global supply-chain network, improve transparency, and reduce manual effort in logistics operations. To address this challenge, it worked with SupplyOn and used the transport order management system (TOMS) to streamline transport order handling.

SupplyOn’s TOMS enabled Schaeffler to generate, combine, and assign transport orders more efficiently, with better standardization across suppliers and logistics partners. The results included a 10% reduction in purchased-parts inventory, supplier performance improving from 94 to 98 out of 100, higher transport-order quality, and significantly less manual work in goods receipt; the project was successful enough to win the 2016 elogistics award and is now being rolled out to other plants in the group.
