Case Study: Continental Automotive achieves transparent warehouse collaboration and improved delivery reliability with SupplyOn

A SupplyOn Case Study

Preview of the Continental Automotive Case Study

How Continental China optimized its warehouse collaboration with SupplyOn

Continental Automotive, a major automotive parts manufacturer in China, faced significant challenges ensuring delivery reliability from its 50 external warehouse providers. Due to a manual, non-standardized reporting process for inventory and goods movements, the company struggled with incomplete data, lost high-quality parts, and an inability to plan for incoming shipments, which increased costs and hampered customer satisfaction.

SupplyOn implemented a centralized warehouse collaboration solution featuring web and EDI interfaces for data entry. This provided Continental and its warehouse partners with real-time, transparent inventory information, automated notifications, and seamless integration with Continental’s ERP system for advance shipping notices. As a result, SupplyOn helped Continental drastically reduce internal and external workloads and costs, while significantly increasing delivery reliability and customer satisfaction. The successful rollout to all warehouses and plants was completed by the end of 2015.
