Case Study: Daikin achieves 92% elimination of manual data entry and 75% straight-through processing with Supervity

A Supervity Case Study

Preview of the Daikin Case Study

IBM Partners with Supervity to Optimize Financial Shared Services for Daikin

Daikin, a multinational air-conditioning manufacturer, struggled with fragmented shared-service centers across Asia processing about 1,000,000 invoices annually. Lack of standardized processes, paper-based invoices, heavy manual data entry, slow approvals and poor collaboration led to delays, errors, penalties and low visibility. Supervity was engaged to digitize and modernize the accounts payable function using AI-driven invoice processing.

Supervity implemented AI Agents for AP to capture scanned and electronic invoices, extract and validate data, auto-match to purchase orders/goods receipts, route approvals, post to SAP and surface exceptions with human review when needed. The deployment delivered strong results: 92% elimination of manual data entry, 75% straight-through processing (up from 39% at go-live), 100% accuracy, an 88% reduction in cycle times, over 1,000 staff-hours saved per month and significant cost and turnaround-time improvements.
