Queenstown Educational Foundation Chooses Supermicro Server to Keep Students Safe from Cyberattacks

The Queenstown Educational Foundation, an educational nonprofit supporting a network of schools, needed a new solution to protect students from cyberattacks and to encourage collaborative projects. Their existing security server was over-utilized, putting students' work and the network's integrity at risk, especially with an expanding student body and a new intranet.

Supermicro provided a solution with its A+ AS -1014S-WTRT server, powered by a 2nd Gen AMD EPYC™ processor. The new server created a more secure environment for internet research, successfully protected the network from malware, and enabled safe file sharing and collaboration between different schools. The implementation established a blueprint for secure, collaborative educational networking that can be replicated across South Africa.
