Case Study: Save the Children UK achieves master data management and saves £10k+ per year with Supermetrics

A Supermetrics Case Study

Preview of the Save the Children UK Case Study

Save the Children UK Saving the world’s leading independent organization for children +£10k/year

Save the Children UK, one of 29 local organisations of Save the Children, faced rapidly growing volumes of website traffic, global marketing campaigns and donation data across multiple third‑party platforms. Darren Robertson, Lead Digital Analyst, needed to centralise reporting, replace fragile spreadsheets and Data Studio workflows, and reliably feed clean data into Power BI—so the organisation adopted the Supermetrics API.

Using the Supermetrics API, Save the Children UK pulls daily data into SQL and Power BI, performs ETL at the SQL layer to reduce dirty data, and creates a single source of truth. Supermetrics stabilized connector reliability, automated reporting (nightly data refreshes), freed analyst time for deeper analysis, enabled new reports like PPC/SEO alignment, donation-by-channel and real‑time disaster reporting, and saved the charity time and tens of thousands of pounds per year (reporting savings of more than £10k annually).
