SearchPilot is carbon neutral, and supporting the path to net zero

SearchPilot engaged Supercritical to help make the company carbon neutral for the 2020–2021 financial year. With an assessed total supply-chain footprint of 18 t CO2e, SearchPilot wanted high-quality, permanent carbon removal and a credible pathway toward net zero while also reducing its ongoing emissions.

Supercritical designed and brokered a portfolio of removals — 11 t via biochar, 5 t via enhanced weathering, 2 t via direct air capture, plus afforestation “bridging” credits — yielding 23 t CO2e removed versus the 18 t footprint, making SearchPilot carbon neutral today. The Supercritical-led approach also positions SearchPilot as an early buyer of emerging DAC technology, reduces its scope 3 burden for customers (Supercritical provides reporting for audits), and represents a small fraction of revenue while supporting longer-term emissions reductions.
