A Supercritical Case Study
RMP Enterprise discovered in 2021 that its carbon footprint was 124 t CO2e (about 2.3 t per person) and wanted to move from being “green and keen” to proactive sustainability leaders. They engaged Supercritical and used Supercritical’s carbon removal service to understand their emissions and begin addressing them.
Supercritical provided permanent biochar carbon removal to offset 100% of RMP’s 2021 emissions (124 t CO2e removed), while RMP implemented reduction measures—switching merchandise to sustainable supplier I Dress Myself (+£3,000/yr), cutting brochures from 200+ to ~20 pages (76% less paper and ~70% lower print/distribution costs), introducing meat‑free events, and forming a nine‑person sustainability champions group. With Supercritical’s intervention, RMP has permanently removed its 2021 emissions and set an annual 10% reduction target aiming to be carbon negative by 2024.
