Transport for London (TfL) needed to modernize its Road User Charging system, which involved consolidating and migrating petabytes of historical data from its legacy infrastructure. Supercharge implemented a four-step data migration process, utilizing a metadata-based dynamic pipeline orchestration system. After careful evaluation, they selected Databricks as the primary tool for its flexibility and ability to handle massive-scale workloads. The solution successfully integrated data from seven source systems, migrating over 5 billion records and securely transferring 1 petabyte of unstructured data to Azure, providing TfL with a future-ready, high-performance foundation.
