asap.work’s Journey to a Faster, Flexible Solution with Supabase

asap.work is a construction recruitment startup that needed a faster, more scalable backend for complex candidate searches. Using Xano as a no-code backend, the team was seeing query times ranging from 1 to 60 seconds on a large talent database, which created a major productivity bottleneck for recruiters. Supabase helped asap.work rebuild its platform on PostgreSQL, Supabase Auth, and Supabase Storage, replacing the no-code setup with a flexible, code-based environment. The results were dramatic: search times dropped from up to 60 seconds to around 100 milliseconds, developer efficiency improved, and user confidence was restored. By moving to Supabase, asap.work also gained better scalability, lower long-term costs, and less vendor lock-in.
