Noble Foods saves £1.16 million with Sunswap

Noble Foods, the UK's largest fresh egg supplier, faced the challenge of maintaining precise temperature control for its sensitive product during transport while meeting its Net Zero commitments and reducing operational costs. Their existing diesel-powered refrigeration units were emissions-heavy and unreliable for their long, rural delivery routes. They partnered with Sunswap to deploy its innovative Endurance transport refrigeration units.

Sunswap implemented its all-electric Endurance units, which use integrated solar panels and battery storage to provide continuous cooling without idling the vehicle's engine. This solution delivered significant results for Noble Foods, including an estimated £1.16 million in operational savings and a lifetime CO2 reduction of 3,120 tonnes. The deployment of 40 units, which have successfully traveled over half a million kilometres, proved the technology's reliability for handling sensitive agricultural logistics.
