DFDS cuts operating costs by 71% with Sunswap

dfds, a leading European logistics company, faced the challenge of meeting ambitious net-zero targets without compromising the reliability and performance required for its temperature-sensitive transport operations. They partnered with Sunswap to trial its Endurance transport refrigeration units, seeking a truly zero-emission solution for their most demanding routes.

Sunswap implemented its all-electric, battery and solar-powered Endurance units, which proved they could handle tough delivery cycles with zero direct emissions. As a result, DFDS became Sunswap's first commercial customer, eliminating 89.5 tonnes of CO2 per unit, saving 500,000 litres of diesel, and achieving a 71% reduction in operating costs.
