Cranswick cuts transport refrigeration costs by 81% with Sunswap

Cranswick, a major UK food producer, faced the challenge of meeting its ambitious Science Based Targets, which required a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030. A significant part of its emissions came from the diesel-powered transport refrigeration units in its fleet. Sunswap was selected to provide a zero-emission alternative to its current solution.

Sunswap implemented its all-electric Endurance transport refrigeration system. This solution completely eliminated CO2, NOx, and particulate matter emissions that were still produced by Cranswick's previous HVO fuel alternative. The results included an 81% reduction in operational running costs and 43% total cost of ownership savings, proving that the environmental choice was also the superior financial decision.
