UNTUCKit, a men's apparel company, required a specialized gift card solution that the native Shopify platform could not provide. Their challenge was that Shopify only allowed a purchaser to send a gift card to themselves, making it difficult to use the cards as direct gifts. They engaged Sunrise Integration to develop a custom API to overcome this limitation.

Sunrise Integration developed a custom Shopify app called Gift Card Pro, which intercepted order details to create a new gift card workflow. This allowed customers to send gift cards directly to recipients and provided UNTUCKit with custom landing pages for different occasions. Sunrise Integration also provided managed hosting on a highly available AWS infrastructure to ensure performance during peak traffic, such as the holidays when web visits nearly tripled.
