Zillion powers 220 m³/day desalination in Greece with Sungrow

The Municipality of Kimolos, Greece, faced a challenge to its summer water supply due to a rising population and climate change. The municipality partnered with Sungrow and EPC Zillion to implement a sustainable seawater desalination solution powered by clean energy.

Sungrow provided its SG50CX-P2 string inverters for a 100kWp photovoltaic system. This solution powers the desalination unit, which now produces 220 m³ of clean water per day, sustainably meeting the needs of the island's residents and visitors.
