TotalEnergies powers 720 MWp Texas solar plant with Sungrow

TotalEnergies faced significant challenges in developing its largest American solar plant, Danish Fields, in Texas. The project's location presented extreme temperatures, harsh weather, and complex safety requirements. Sungrow provided the solution, utilizing its SG3600UD-MV inverter units to overcome these obstacles and ensure an efficient and cost-effective deployment.

Sungrow implemented 183 of its SG3600UD-MV units, a design that supported a high DC/AC ratio and lowered transportation and installation costs. The resulting 720 MWp plant achieved its commercial operation date in September 2024 and now provides clean power for approximately 300,000 homes. It also supplies large industrial companies and supports decarbonization efforts for both TotalEnergies and the broader U.S. Gulf Coast region.
