TotalEnergies powers 720 MW solar plant in Texas with Sungrow

TotalEnergies, a global energy leader, faced significant challenges in developing its largest American solar power plant, Danish Fields, in Texas. The project location presented hurdles like extreme temperatures, harsh weather, and complex safety requirements. To overcome these, TotalEnergies partnered with vendor Sungrow, utilizing their SG3600UD-MV inverter units.

Sungrow implemented a solution using 183 of its SG3600UD-MV units, designed for high efficiency and cost-effectiveness with a maximum DC/AC ratio of up to 2.0. This deployment enabled the 720 MWp plant to reach commercial operation, providing clean power for approximately 300,000 homes and supplying electricity to major industrial customers. The project supports regional decarbonization efforts and economic development, marking a major milestone in sustainable energy for TotalEnergies.
