A Sungrow Case Study
The Solar Juice warehouse, a solar energy distributor in Australia, faced the challenge of ensuring a consistent 24/7 clean energy supply for its operations and an adjacent office building. Their dependency on the grid during nighttime and poor weather, combined with the unsuitability of bulky containerized energy storage solutions, hindered their goal of energy independence. To address this, they partnered with Sungrow for a solar and energy storage solution.
Sungrow implemented a system using its SH25T inverters and SBH200 battery technology, a modular and scalable solution that fit perfectly within the warehouse's confined indoor space. This DC-coupled energy storage system provided a more efficient and flexible alternative to traditional setups, allowing the facility to store excess solar energy for use around the clock. The solution powers an average load of 60 kW for equipment including lighting, computers, air conditioning, and EV chargers, and is designed for future expansion and participation in Virtual Power Plant programs.
