SEP Energia S.r.l powers a 68.2 kWp warehouse ESS project with Sungrow

SEP Energia S.r.l, a company in Parma, Italy, faced the challenge of powering its warehouse and refrigeration units around the clock. Their existing AC-coupled system was insufficient, and spatial constraints made conventional containerized energy storage solutions impractical. Vendor Sungrow provided a solution using their SG50CX inverter, SH15T units, and SBH100 battery storage.

The Sungrow solution integrated PV and storage systems to maximize solar energy use, storing excess power for nighttime and early morning hours. The modular and stackable design of the Sungrow equipment fit into the tight space without needing cranes. This system provided the warehouse with a reliable 24/7 energy supply, enhanced solar efficiency, and achieved a milestone as Europe's first successful test plant for Logger control of SHT+CX models.
