A Sungrow Case Study
Ronico, a global leader in tulip cultivation, faced the challenge of meeting the high energy demands of its extensive greenhouses and outdoor facilities sustainably. With annual consumption of 6.7 million kWh, rising energy costs, and grid congestion, the company needed a self-sufficient solution to reduce its environmental footprint and ensure a reliable energy supply. To address this, Ronico partnered with vendor Sungrow and Zonzo for a solar energy project.
The solution implemented by Sungrow involved the installation of a 1.7 MW solar plant using 48 high-performance Sungrow SG33CX inverters and 5,000 solar panels. This system allows Ronico to generate its own electricity on-site, significantly reducing its reliance on the grid. The project achieves an annual energy generation of 6.7 million kWh, helping the company meet peak energy demands and advance its commitment to efficient and sustainable operations.
