Gulf delivers 531.82 MW solar-plus-storage project with Sungrow

Sungrow partnered with Gulf Energy to deliver one of Southeast Asia's most ambitious renewable energy projects. The challenge was to successfully deploy a massive 531.82 MW solar-plus-storage project across five sites in Thailand, requiring meticulous cross-border coordination and a solution that could be delivered on a strict timeline for commercial operation by the end of 2024.

To meet this challenge, Sungrow provided its large-scale PV inverters and PowerTitan battery energy storage systems (BESS). The vendor assembled a dedicated international team that worked around the clock, completing commissioning efficiently to deliver the project on schedule. The successful deployment of this 209.15 MWh storage system established a new regional benchmark and laid the foundation for a future agreement where Sungrow will supply Gulf with 3.5 GWp of inverters and storage systems over seven years.
