A Sungrow Case Study
Sungrow provided a solar energy solution for Banco De Olhos De Sorocaba (BOS), a nationally recognized ophthalmology hospital in Sorocaba, Brazil. The hospital faced a challenge in building a solar carport: for safety, the inverters needed to be enclosed and out of public reach, but this created a significant risk of overheating in the inverter room, which would harm system performance and energy output.
Sungrow delivered a custom cooling solution based on thermal load calculations, directing cool air to the inverter heat sinks to maintain an optimal 25°C room temperature. The resulting 3 MWp plant generates 4,500 MWh of clean energy annually, cutting the hospital's energy costs by 30% and saving approximately R$300,000 per month. The project also reduces CO₂ emissions by 7,160 tons per year and provides covered parking with EV charging stations, all supported by Sungrow's intelligent monitoring system.
