Dr. Tavel Optical Group, a family-owned business with 22 locations across Indiana, wanted to increase average order value and serve more patients. They partnered with Sunbit to offer a buy-now, pay-over-time option via Sunbit technology, piloting the program in 10 stores before expanding it systemwide.
Sunbit’s pay-over-time solution let patients choose premium eyewear and drove strong measurable results: patients using Sunbit spent 168% more versus their prior visits and, after adjusting for year-over-year changes and demographics, spent 123% more (July 1–Sept. 15, 2020). Across 338 Sunbit transactions the average sale was $315, prompting Dr. Tavel Optical Group to roll Sunbit out to all locations and boost store revenue and patient satisfaction.
