Kia Motors America faced the challenge of sustaining parts and service revenue and keeping customers in dealerships during the CV19 pandemic. Kia partnered with Sunbit to offer a 0% interest, three-month financing option for parts and service across more than 400 Kia dealers to reduce declined repairs and maintain customer loyalty.
Sunbit implemented the interest-free split-pay program and added more than 100 new dealers between April–June 2020, so over 50% of Kia dealers now offer Sunbit. Every approved customer in participating locations could split repairs into three monthly payments, more than 32% chose the option, and Kia experienced only a minor revenue decline and was the first OEM to return to normal performance levels with Sunbit, preserving service revenue and reducing declines on repair recommendations.
