Metronom efficiently manages data centers around the globe with Sunbird’s powerful DCIM software

Metronom, the central management holding for METRO, oversees 800 racks in six data centers across Europe and APAC and needed an easy-to-use solution to remotely monitor and manage those distributed facilities. In 2013 Metronom partnered with Sunbird DCIM and deployed Sunbird’s dcTrack and Power IQ to replace Excel, Visio, and homegrown tools for centralized, real-time data center management.

Sunbird DCIM’s dcTrack and Power IQ deliver end-to-end visibility of assets, connections, and power chains, enabling remote floor‑map views, capacity planning, and synced power monitoring. As a result Metronom reduced travel and manual checks (staff now spend about one‑tenth the time they used to and some save more than two days per week), cut errors, improved infrastructure planning and utilization across 800 racks, and gained faster, more precise operations with ongoing Sunbird support.
