FlixBus, a major European long-distance mobility provider, needed to provide fast and secure card payment acceptance at all of its physical ticket shops to improve customer service and meet the needs of travelers who do not carry cash. This required a solution that could be seamlessly integrated into their existing point-of-sale systems.

SumUp implemented its card terminals and utilized its comprehensive API for a custom software integration. This allowed payments to be processed directly through the FlixBus employee interface, automatically matching transactions for easy accounting. The solution from SumUp enhanced the customer experience, reduced the operational costs and security concerns of handling cash, and was considered a major success by FlixBus leadership.
