Edward Jones, a retail financial services firm serving nearly 7 million investors through about 12,000 branch locations, was growing rapidly and needed a more effective way to deliver and track training across a geographically dispersed workforce. The company sought an LMS that would make training more interactive, reduce costs, comply with federal training and continuing-education requirements, and improve completion and retention outcomes.

Edward Jones implemented SumTotal Learn: Maestro (cloud) integrated with WebEx, launching a new catalog of online courses and converting an 80‑hour on‑screen reading module for branch assistants into interactive, segmented courses. The program delivered 700,000 training classes to more than 30,000 associates, raised on‑time completion from 72% to 90%, saved over $1 million in travel costs, and coincided with historically low branch assistant turnover.
