Weverse reduces data management costs to drive innovation in fandom culture

Weverse is a global fandom platform (6.4M monthly active users across 238 countries) running 20+ cloud-native apps on AWS. They faced severe logging challenges: sudden traffic spikes when artists posted could drive logs from ~20–50GB to 600GB per ten minutes, ELK couldn’t scale reliably, teams operated in silos, and manual cold-tier re-ingestion plus running up to 75 VMs made log management costly and brittle.

By adopting Sumo Logic Cloud Log Management, Weverse achieved reliable, lossless log ingestion during peak loads, eliminated platform silos with scoped access and RBAC, and implemented tiered log storage to cut costs. The change unlocked analysis of more debug logs to improve service quality, added masking and custom alerting via APIs for security and operations, and stabilized log management with ongoing Sumo support.
