Case Study: SentriLock accelerates migration to microservices and Kubernetes while streamlining log management with Sumo Logic

A Sumo Logic Case Study

Preview of the SentriLock Case Study

SentriLock broadens its Sumo Logic implementation to help drive its migration to microservices and Kubernetes

SentriLock, a Cincinnati-based security company that manages millions of IoT electronic lockboxes and related SaaS applications, was migrating a monolithic real‑estate application to microservices and adopting Kubernetes. The company produced enormous volumes of log data (tens of thousands of data points per minute) and found its on‑prem Graylog setup lacked alerts, dashboards, and scalability to support its cloud and container initiatives.

SentriLock standardized on Sumo Logic’s cloud‑hosted platform, built shared dashboards and alerts, and expanded usage to include Kubernetes monitoring with help from Sumo Logic’s professional services. Machine data and analytics were normalized across teams, the legacy log tool was retired, operational overhead and costs fell, and engineers and ops now use a single source of truth to speed troubleshooting and support the company’s microservices and cloud migration.
