A Sumo Logic Case Study

SEGA Europe deploys Sumo Logic to protect sensitive customer information and shortens problem investigation time by 20%

SEGA Europe, the London-based arm of SEGA Games with 1,000+ employees and several studios across Europe and North America, needed to strengthen protection of millions of customers’ personal data and consolidate security machine data from a hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure and on‑prem) into a single source of truth. Previous SIEM attempts proved costly, brittle, and hard to customize, and Sega also wanted repeatable onboarding processes for future studio acquisitions.

Sega replaced its legacy SIEM with Sumo Logic’s cloud‑native platform, ingesting logs from AWS, Azure and many security sources, building custom dashboards and playbooks, and rolling the solution out with internal teams. The platform scaled from ~30 GB to 50+ GB/day, supplies a single pane of glass for NOC/SOC workflows, and shortened investigation and resolution time by 20%, while enabling ongoing expansion of data sources and analytics.
