Case Study: Cloud Cruiser reduces operational burden and cuts AWS costs with Sumo Logic

A Sumo Logic Case Study

Cloud Cruiser - Customer Case Study

Sumo Logic framed a data analytics approach for modern, microservices-based applications that require real-time visibility and Continuous Intelligence. Cloud Cruiser, a customer running hundreds of AWS instances, faced an operationally heavy ELK stack that created security, scaling and cost challenges while making it hard to monitor user-visible behavior across their complex stack.

They migrated to Sumo Logic’s Unified Logs and Metrics as a managed service, standardized tagging and naming conventions for logs/metrics, and built combined dashboards. The switch cut operational burden and costs, improved log integrity and alerting, reduced VPN access needs, increased system and application visibility, and helped drive significant AWS cost savings.
