A Sumac CRM Case Study
The National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYOC) is a nearly 50‑year‑old national institution that trains Canada’s top young orchestral musicians, selecting about 100 participants from roughly 500 applicants each year and providing scholarships and intensive summer training. As a high‑profile organization with a large alumni and donor base, NYOC needed a better way to manage prospect information and set clear priorities for fundraising and development work.
NYOC implemented Sumac by Silent Partner, using its prospect‑weighting function to assign specific values to the “three C’s” fundraisers use—capability, commitment and contact history. This system helped staff prioritize prospects, streamline outreach, and make development decisions more efficiently, giving the organization clearer, data‑driven fundraising priorities.
