A Sumac CRM Case Study
Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, serving people and caregivers since 1979, faced an urgent database challenge when their donor system (Sage FR100) became obsolete and replacement costs per user were unaffordable. IT lead Stephanie Stones needed a highly customizable, secure solution that could protect sensitive client records and consolidate multiple siloed applications for donors, volunteers and scheduling.
They implemented Sumac with Case Management, Volunteer and other add-ons to replace three separate systems with a single platform. The change streamlined operations, reduced paper use, simplified reporting to funders, and made it easier to gather statistics; the hospice has since moved its Wellness Program and clinical records into Sumac and is advising other hospices on similar consolidation.
