Case Study: CrossFit Ruston achieves streamlined programming and improved member accountability with SugarWOD

A SugarWOD Case Study

Preview of the CrossFit Ruston Case Study

CrossFit Ruston Optimizing the Human Condition

CrossFit Ruston, led by owners Lauren and Evan Derveloy in Louisiana, operates two boxes serving almost 500 members and 15 coaches. Their challenge was inefficient, time-consuming programming (Evan building workouts in Google Docs and posting to Facebook) and a lack of consistent workout tracking and accountability among athletes—so they adopted SugarWOD for performance tracking and streamlined programming.

By implementing SugarWOD, CrossFit Ruston moved programming responsibility to coaches, published workouts via the SugarWOD platform and promoted adoption with a site widget, Facebook posts, and BoxTV in the lobby. SugarWOD helped hundreds of athletes start tracking workouts, cut the hours Evan spent on Sunday programming, created a stronger culture of accountability and improved visibility for movement standards—enabling better Open planning and helping the gym scale to reach more people.
