Case Study: CrossFit North Marin achieves stronger community engagement and improved member retention with SugarWOD

A SugarWOD Case Study

Preview of the CrossFit North Marin Case Study

CrossFit North Marin - Customer Case Study

CrossFit North Marin opened in 2011 and is run by owners Amy and Travis Brackett, who needed a way to nurture a close-knit community, keep class sizes small and consistent, and move beyond paper notebooks for tracking athlete progress. To solve that challenge they turned to SugarWOD, using its workout-tracking and social features to connect members outside of class and reinforce coaching and retention.

SugarWOD replaced notebooks with digital tracking and social engagement, helping members celebrate progress and stay connected between sessions. As a result CrossFit North Marin has grown to nearly 150 members, logged over 40,000 workouts and nearly 160,000 “fistbumps,” and sustained strong retention while supporting major fundraising (over $25,000 raised for charity, including $12,000 for breast cancer research). SugarWOD’s tools directly supported these measurable community and performance outcomes.
