A Subsplash Case Study
Hillside Community Church, a growing Southern California church serving about 3,000 people, wanted a better digital strategy to engage both first-time visitors and its regular congregation. Working with Subsplash and the Subsplash Platform, the church evaluated how people were already using digital content and set out to separate its website for visitors from its app for ongoing church engagement.
Subsplash helped Hillside Community Church build a mobile-first engagement strategy with sermons, events, giving, a custom Bible reading plan, and other content in the app, while the website focused on attracting new guests. The results included a 20% year-over-year increase in app usage, about 800 sermon plays per month, $71,000 raised in three weeks through an in-app giving campaign, and roughly $20,000 saved annually by moving Sunday bulletins into the app and eliminating printing costs.
