The University of South Florida (USF), one of the nation’s largest universities, needed a better way to manage scheduling for a large, multi-department campus recreation staff. Before using SubItUp, managers relied on Excel and spent significant time coordinating shifts, handling constant changes, and trying to eliminate scheduling conflicts, improve accountability, and streamline communication.
SubItUp provided automated scheduling and shift management for USF, including notifications for schedule changes, shift swaps, and dropped shifts by text or email. The result was a major efficiency gain: the team reduced scheduling time from about 16 hours to less than 2 hours, while also lowering missed shifts, improving visibility into hours, and helping managers focus more on their core responsibilities.
