University of South Carolina - Customer Case Study

The University of South Carolina’s Russell House University Union needed a better way to schedule its 50+ staff members across a constantly changing calendar of more than 5,700 annual events, programs, and meetings. Their manual, one-size-fits-all scheduling process led to unfilled shifts, time-consuming schedule changes, and extra labor costs when full-time employees had to cover gaps.

SubItUp implemented its scheduling platform to help the university collect availability, automate schedule generation, manage time off and shift swaps, and integrate scheduling with time clock and labor management tools. As a result, the University of South Carolina reported much greater staffing efficiency, smoother operations, and empowered employees who could manage their schedules through the mobile interface, while SubItUp also improved visibility into labor discrepancies and helped control labor costs.
