Pixomondo speeds up video preprocessing with STX Next in a March–April 2019 engagement

Pixomondo, an international visual effects company, faced the challenge of manually preprocessing video frames and assets received from clients in various formats. Their semi-automated console tools were inefficient. They partnered with STX Next to develop a configurable Python desktop application to automate this preprocessing step and provide a user interface for greater control.

STX Next delivered a solution using sophisticated logic and regular expressions to create unique, configurable processors for file transformation. The resulting application from STX Next retained the flexibility of console tools while significantly speeding up batch operations and minimizing manual work, which allowed Pixomondo to extract the core technology as a reusable library.
