KNMP, the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association in the Netherlands, needed a viable product to help manage medicine shortages and inform specialists about supply forecasts. The project had to be delivered within a fixed price and fixed scope, while still allowing the product to evolve to fit end users’ needs.

STX Next built the Farmanco platform using Scrum and started with a “walking skeleton” version so it could be used after just a few iterations. The solution gave KNMP employees the ability to maintain shortage information, and it was designed to support 24-hour information about the cause and duration of medicine shortages and possible solutions.
