European Space Agency modernizes Kelvins platform in 4 months with STX Next

The European Space Agency (ESA) sought to improve the performance and quality of its Kelvins scientific competition platform. They partnered with STX Next to address all known issues from the old version, with key objectives including redesigning the platform's social elements and improving data extraction and competition result analysis.

STX Next updated all third-party technologies for a more secure and maintainable codebase. They added a dataset element, redesigned the user system and social features, and implemented new authentication methods. The application was dockerized and a CI/CD pipeline was created for easier deployment. These efforts by STX Next resulted in a significantly improved platform that is easier to deploy, maintain, and use for its global community of space enthusiasts.
