Educational Program Gives Students More Scanning Time & Instructors More Flexibility

Oregon Institute of Technology, an imaging education program in Klamath Falls, needed a way to reduce bottlenecks around ultrasound machine access so students could practice, review exams, and instructors could provide feedback and grading more efficiently. The school was looking for a vendor-neutral PACS solution that would work with all of its ultrasound systems, support many users, offer flexible viewing, fit the budget, and help instructors build teaching examples. Studycast from Studycast was selected as a cloud-based option.

Studycast implemented the Studycast system with study-specific worksheets, full training, flexible review and grading workflows, and unlimited user accounts, with implementation completed in 8 days. The result was greater access for both students and faculty: students could review studies anytime from any internet-connected device, instructors could grade from anywhere, and exams could be saved easily as teaching examples. By removing the need to tie up ultrasound machines for review, OIT increased hands-on scanning time and improved the overall quality of the program.
