Neural Propulsion Systems builds a zero-accident sensing platform with StudioRed, featuring 500-meter range and 10x better detection reliability

StudioRed was contracted by Neural Propulsion Systems (NPS) to design a first-generation sensing platform for autonomous vehicles. The challenge was to create the safest and most reliable system to help self-driving cars achieve level 5 autonomy, with the goal of reducing accidents and improving commutes.

StudioRed designed a unique and versatile platform featuring a revolutionary solid-state MIMO-LiDAR with a 500-meter range and a new radar technology with 10x better detection reliability. This solution allows vehicles to see around corners and through obstacles. The resulting design was awarded an IDA Gold in 2022.
