Studio 24 worked with Crossrail Ltd to develop an interactive map that could inform and educate the public about the immense scale of their railway infrastructure project. The challenge was to create a user-friendly, responsive tool that could display complex geographic information, including construction works, the line's route, stations, and areas of archaeological interest, while navigating legal restrictions on map data usage.

The solution involved building a custom CMS and an interactive map using Ordnance Survey and later ESRI mapping services, with multiple iterative releases to add features and a responsive, full-screen design. Studio 24 successfully plotted live data, such as tunnel boring machine locations, and ensured accessibility. The map became the most popular section of the Crossrail website after the homepage, providing significant stakeholder engagement and better value for the client.
