ČASP showcases 35,000 rock and fossil samples with Studio 24

CASP, a not-for-profit charitable trust conducting geological research, needed to modernize its decade-old website which was not mobile-friendly and made it difficult to showcase its collection of over 35,000 rock and fossil samples. Their goal was to highlight this collection with an interactive map and provide an easy-to-use CMS. They hired Studio 24, a vendor experienced in developing interactive maps, to undertake this project.

Studio 24 developed a new website powered by WordPress and a sophisticated interactive map using Laravel and Leaflet. The map successfully displays the vast sample collection using clustering, zoom, and spatial search functions to ensure performance and usability. They also built a bespoke CMS with custom import tools, making it easy for admins to manage content. The result is a modern, interactive website where users can easily explore the sample collection and related research, and admins have the tools to effectively promote CASP's work. Studio 24 delivered an exceptional user experience that met all of the client's goals.
