In 2006 the hotel worked with Wayport to deploy a robust Wi‑Fi network and the Vocera Communications System with wearable, hands-free badges tied into the phone system. The solution provided instant voice connectivity and a “locate” feature, cutting response times from minutes to seconds, streamlining housekeeping and bell operations, improving staff satisfaction, and maintaining a quieter, more private guest experience.
