Creating a healing environment for patients and clients, while improving staff satisfaction and efficiency

VERG Brooklyn is an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving the Brooklyn community that moved into a larger, better-equipped facility with the goal of creating a calm, healing environment. Previously the team relied on overhead paging, phone calls and paper messages, which were noisy, inefficient and sometimes delayed time‑sensitive care — for example, staff credit wearable communication for enabling a rapid response when a client’s dog seized outside the hospital.

VERG Brooklyn adopted a hands‑free, voice‑activated Vocera communication system that enables instant group calls, broadcasts, discreet alerts and use under PPE. The result: faster triage and emergency response, a much quieter, more tranquil client experience, increased staff productivity (fewer steps and quicker coordination) and improved safety and workflow efficiency across the hospital.
