Realtimeseismic cuts 3D geothermal survey time from 6-10 months to 1 month with STRYDE

The customer, realtimeseismic (rts), faced significant challenges conducting 3D seismic surveys for geothermal clients in urban European environments. Traditional cabled systems and bulkier nodes were difficult to deploy in cities, often requiring road closures and leading to compromised survey geometry and data quality. They partnered with vendor STRYDE to overcome these obstacles using the STRYDE Node™ system.

STRYDE provided an affordable, small, and lightweight autonomous nodal system that could be easily deployed in urban settings. The solution allowed realtimeseismic to conduct surveys with about half the crew and vehicles previously required. In one project, a city-based 3D study was completed in just one month instead of the 6-10 months it would have taken with cables. STRYDE's technology provided high-quality data that helped their geothermal clients better understand subsurface risks without compromising on seismic quality.
