Polaris Natural Resources deploys 9,000 STRYDE nodes for efficient 2,600 km seismic survey

Polaris Natural Resources required a low-cost seismic imaging solution for a frontier oil and gas exploration project in Namibia's Kavango Basin. They needed to validate initial drilling results and identify future drill sites on a limited budget, without compromising data quality. The company turned to STRYDE and its Nimble Seismic System for a solution.

STRYDE deployed 9,000 of its lightweight nodes along with full hardware and field support. This approach enabled the team to deploy and retrieve thousands of nodes per day, accelerating the acquisition timeline and achieving significant cost savings on labor and logistics. An additional 3,500 STRYDE nodes were rapidly supplied when the survey parameters changed, preventing delays. The high-resolution seismic data successfully confirmed the basin's geological model and identified new exploration opportunities for the customer.
