Newcastle University deploys 3,500 STRYDE Nodes across 5km2 for geothermal exploration

Newcastle University, in collaboration with the RAF, required a method for geothermal exploration to pinpoint optimal production locations at RAF Leeming. To achieve this, they utilized STRYDE's nodal seismic imaging system.

The solution involved deploying 3,500 STRYDE Nodes™ across more than 5km² to image the subsurface geology. This low-impact survey, which used a seismic weight drop source, successfully generated a detailed geological image of the area, enabling a better understanding of the geothermal resource.
