Explor sets a new world record with STRYDE’s 257.4 million-trace CCUS survey

The customer, Explor, partnered with Carbon Management Canada to acquire an ultra-high-density seismic survey for a carbon capture (CCUS) application. The challenge was to conduct this survey in the most efficient and affordable way possible on a one-square-kilometer research site, requiring the latest miniaturized seismic technology.

STRYDE supplied 19,872 of its Nimble nodes for the project. This solution, combined with Explor's source technology, enabled the acquisition of a world-record 257.4 million seismic traces. The STRYDE system proved highly reliable and facilitated fast data processing, delivering high-resolution subsurface insights for CCUS monitoring while minimizing environmental impact and project costs.
